Call for Papers: Issue No 2 special edition on empirical legal research methodology
After a highly successful inaugural special edition of the Journal of Legal Research Methodology, the editors invite papers for the second issue, a special edition on the topic of empirical legal research methodology. We use the term ‘empirical legal research’ broadly – encompassing qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodology – wherever research entails the collection or creation of new data on the legal world. We encourage the submission of papers which focus primarily on the methodology of empirical legal or socio-legal research, or, if you are submitting research findings, contain significant self-conscious reflection of your methods. There are no maximum or minimum sample-size requirements (so long as this is appropriately critiqued in the paper), and no preference for either quantitative or qualitative approaches.
Each research paper should be a maximum of 8000 words. Please also include an abstract. Papers will be subject to initial editorial review and blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
Paper submission deadline: 20th May 2022
Once accepted, papers will be made available immediately open access online, prior to the production of the second issue around September 2022.
Please contact an editor or a member of the editorial board via our website: Editorial Team | Journal of Legal Research Methodology (northumbriajournals.co.uk) if you have any questions around submitting an article to us.
